Social Sciences

The social environment courses lead to an understanding and appreciation of our cultural heritage, whether ancient or modern, eastern or western, humanistic or technological. These courses of study seek to appreciate the values of civilization in its many parts. The courses in social environment enable students to develop their creative and analytical powers and encourage flexible thinking necessary to live in a world of continuing change.

Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.)

The associate in arts degree is the most common community college degree program. It is a general education degree program for students who intend to transfer to a university to complete a bachelor’s degree. Earning a Florida Community College A.A. degree guarantees your admission to a state university in Florida. Florida Community College also has educational alliances with several other institutions that fully accept the College’s degree and credits and will admit our graduates at junior-level standing.
