It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Kent Campus!

A solid foundation in the liberal arts is the key to a successful college education, whether your goal is an associate in arts or science degree or to pursue higher degrees. Here at Kent Campus we strive to offer you the very best in teaching and scholarly exploration through our communications, foreign languages, visual arts, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics and natural sciences departments.

Through the traditional arts and sciences disciplines, you have the opportunity to broaden your communication and problem solving skills, enhance your creative and intellectual experiences, and gain a better perspective of human nature as preparation for your future.

As a personal note: I am a graduate of Florida State College at Jacksonville (Florida Junior College)! I went on to earn my bachelor’s, masters, and doctorate; Florida State College at Jacksonville prepared me for my successful academic and professional future. So I understand the needs of the community college student – and especially our students at Florida State College at Jacksonville.
