Tuition Installment Plans (TIPs)
Florida Community College offers monthly Tuition Installment Plans (TIPs) during advanced registration for each term. Most students must pay the full cost of tuition by the scheduled payment deadline or risk being dropped from classes. TIPs allows students to pay for classes in monthly installments. For a nominal fee, tuition payments can be drafted monthly from a checking or savings account, or through a credit card. TIPs is managed by FACTS Management Company. Several different options to pay are offered but the earlier you register and sign up for TIPs, the cheaper the cost, and the more options provided.
To apply to pay for your tuition in installments, go to ARTEMIS and click on Payment Options. Students completing applications for TIPs on payment deadlines must complete the process by 7 p.m. or risk having classes dropped.
I do not have a computer, how can I enroll for the payment plan?
Although you may not have a computer of your own, you may enroll using a public
computer at your city library or the computer lab at Florida Community College.
I dropped all of my classes. Can I get my enrollment fee refunded?
As stated in the terms and conditions, and the brochure, the enrollment fee is nonrefundable. FACTS does not issue refunds for the enrollment fee.
I am applying for a veteran deferment. Will I have to pay an enrollment fee?
No, one veteran deferment per year is free.
I am eligible for a veteran deferment. How do I apply?
The system will automatically recognize you as eligible for a veteran deferment if you have provided FCCJ’s Veteran Affairs Department documentation of your eligibility to receive benefits. You are eligible for one veteran deferment per academic year.
My financial aid is now awarded. Will FACTS or Florida Community College adjust my TIPs?
Yes, FCCJ will notify FACTS of financial aid award changes. Your TIPs agreement will be adjusted based on the amount due after applying financial aid. A refund will be issued for amounts collected prior to your financial aid award. The refund is issued by FCCJ. Refunds are processed 45–60 days from the last day of registration.
I am due a refund for dropped classes, overpayment,
or due to being dropped
from
the TIPs. When will I receive my refund?
All refunds will be issued by Florida Community College. Refunds will not be
issued
until
45–60
days from the last day of registration.
I am adding a class, do I need to go back online to complete another agreement?
No, you should only complete one agreement per term. When adding or dropping a class in ARTEMIS you will be asked whether or not FCCJ should increase or decrease your TIPs agreement to reflect your new schedule. If you indicate yes, your agreement is temporarily increased and forwarded to FACTS within 24 hours for approval. If you plan to adjust your schedule more by adding or dropping additional classes and indicate no, your agreement will not be modified.
