The Future Health Professionals Club (FHPC)
If you are interested in obtaining a degree in one of the many health-related programs at North Campus and are presently working on your general education courses to prepare you for entry into the professional phase of the program. There is no time like the present to fulfill your commitment by satisfying your general education course requirements for your degree at North Campus. To assist you with scheduling, enclosed is a list of spring classes offered at North Campus/Nassau Center. Registration begins Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
Understanding the importance of extracurricular activities, North Campus, the “Campus of Choice” would like to invite you to be part of a new special organization: The Future Health Professionals Club (FHPC). We know from experience that students enjoy taking their Liberal Arts & Sciences courses on the campus where their intended program of study is housed—now you can reap the benefits of official membership in one of the most prestigious student organizations at Florida Community College.
When you are a member of The Future Health Professionals Club, the benefits are endless! Imagine being able to:
- become intimately familiar with the campus and its unlimited services for students in your specific program of study
- meet and begin lasting mentoring relationships with the phenomenal program faculty and staff
- talk to other students who have already begun the professional phase about their experiences
- experience “shadowing” experiences in labs on campus and at off campus clinical sites
- participate in workshops and information sessions on time and resource management to facilitate your success in your chosen program
- gain access to and assistance with special health-related textbook and tuition scholarships
- become eligible for drawings for scholarships and special program-related merchandise
- attend prep sessions for the health programs’ admission tests, the Health Occupations Test (HOT) and the Nursing Aptitude Test (NAT)
- obtain free registration for the meet-n-greet and various sessions at the annual Patient Safety Conference
- get a jump start on registration through specific priority advising appointments
- receive access to complimentary North Campus services (Mallard Room, Cosmetology Arts, Dental Cleaning, Massage)
- add the professional club membership to your vita (resume) and co-curricular transcript
Student eligibility in the Future Health Professionals Club is simple: students must be enrolled in one or more of their prerequisite classes at North Campus or Nassau Center.
