Florida Community College Is Offering Air Conditioning and Carpentry Classes

Florida Community College is offering Spring Term classes leading towards technical certificates in the Air Condition, Refrigeration and Heating Systems Technician program and the Carpentry Management program. The class will be offered at the Louis “Red” Bean Technical Career Center in the new Construction Classrooms and labs. Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Theory I will be held on Tuesday nights from 5 to 9:35PM and the Refrigeration Controls class will be offered on Thursday nights from 5 to 9:35 p.m.

Tools and Pre-Construction Skills will be held on Tuesday nights from 5 to 9:35 p.m. and Foundation Formwork, Wall and Floor Framing will be held on Thursday nights from 5 to 9:35 p.m.and are part of the Carpentry Management program. All classes began the week of January 5, 2009 and continue until May 1, 2009.

Paid tuition and books, at the in-state tuition rate, is available for all registered students. The program is funded by the United States Department of Labor. First time FCCJ students will be assessed an additional $15 membership fee. To register for classes or for additional information please call the Betty P. Cook Nassau Center at 904.548.4481.
