“Oil Paintings by Karen McFadyen” Art Exhibit at the Betty P. Cook Nassau Center Gallery
Florida Community College Betty P. Cook Nassau Center is hosting an exhibit of local award winning artist Karen McFadyen, through September 30, 2008. A reception to meet the artist will be held on Thursday, September 11, 6:30–8 p.m., at the FCCJ Betty P. Cook Nassau Center in the Library’s Art Gallery, Room B-103. The exhibit includes works from four of McFadyens’ series: The Artist at Work Series, The Studio Tools Series, The Tree Series, and the Plant Series. All of the paintings are oil on canvas. Each painting is an invitation to really see more in our world, in each other and in the power of the language of paint. Ms. McFadyen has received many awards for her paintings and was recently honored by Volunteer Jacksonville for her contributions to the arts in our area. Her works can be seen in galleries on Amelia Island.
The Nassau Center is located at 76346 William Burgess Boulevard, Yulee, Florida. Call 904.548.4467 for additional information or directions.
