The Center for Lifelong Learning in Nassau County Announces Open Registration
Registration continues for The Center for Lifelong Learning in Nassau County (formerly know as the Nassau Institute for Community Education, N.I.C.E.), Fall Classes.
Classes beginning in September are: “Pride and Prejudice,” taught by Bernie McCabe, is scheduled at the Golf Club of Amelia Island on Fridays from 10 a.m.–noon, beginning the week of September 19; “Cooking for Oktoberfest,” taught by Chef William Castleberry on Wednesdays from 1–4 p.m., at the Florida Community College Culinary Arts Lab, beginning the week of September 24. This is a two week class.
Classes beginning the week of October 6 at the Florida Community College Betty P. Cook Nassau Center are: “The Art of Photography: Examinations of the Photographic Image,” taught by Richard Olderman, Thursdays 1–3 p.m.; “Survival Italian: An Introduction to Conversational Italian,” with instructor Maria Clucas, Tuesdays, 10 a.m.–noon; and two Tuesday classes taught by Bill Raser, “Image Editing for Digital Photographers,” from 1–2:30 p.m. and ”How to Use a Digital Camera,” a three week course from 3–4:30 p.m..
Classes offered at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Fernandina Beach, beginning the week of October 6 are “Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar,” taught by Bernie McCabe, Wednesdays 10 a.m.–noon; “Latin America and the United States: A Long Look at a Rocky Relationship,” taught by Peter Johnson Mondays from 1–3 p.m.; and “Leadership Matters,” taught by Robert Bolan, Ph.D., on Wednesdays from 3–5:30 p.m..
