 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Family Literacy Fair at the Florida Community College North Campus Rescheduled for Saturday September 20 The Florida Community College Family Literacy Fair, postponed due to tropical storm Fay, has been set for September 20, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. The Family Literacy Fair is for Duval and Nassau County residents and will be at the FCCJ North Campus, 4501 Capper Road in Jacksonville, (I-95 to Dunn Ave. or I-295 to Dunn Avenue). The Fair will feature Disney Radio from 10–11 a.m., interactive games, face painting, JSO equipment, Mr. Wizard, music, celebrity readers, storytelling, games, prizes, and surprises. There will be live performances and demonstrations by an illusionist, a ventriloquist, and book characters, as well as the opportunity to take a reading level assessment. A dental presentation and vision screening will be available. Lunch will be provided. For information call 904.766.6553. |
