Sixth Annual Family Literacy Fair September 20 at FCCJ North Campus

Books, celebrities, storytelling and activities encourage a love for reading for all ages

What: Sixth Annual FCCJ Family Literacy Fair
When: Sept. 20, 2008, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Cost: Free and open to the public
Where:

Florida Community College North Campus, Courtyard
4501 Capper Road

Details: Free admission to Florida Community College’s North Campus Family Literacy Fair includes interactive games, music, face painting, vehicles from Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Wizard, music, celebrity readers, storytelling, games, prizes, and surprises. Radio Disney will be live onsite from 10-11 a.m. with games, music and prizes. There will be live performances and demonstrations by an illusionist, a ventriloquist, and book characters, as well as the opportunity to take a reading level assessment. A dental presentation and vision screening will be available. Lunch will be provided. For reservations (appreciated) or more information call 904.766.6553. (This event was postponed from an earlier date due to TS Fay.)
