Florida Community College at Jacksonville ranks sixth in nation in associate nursing degrees (R.N.) granted for 2006–2007

Also ranks fifth in Liberal Arts and Sciences; in top 10 in two other categories

Florida Community College at Jacksonville is the sixth largest producer of associate degrees in nursing (R.N.) in the nation, according to an article published in Community College Week, a publication specializing in national community college issues.

The College also ranked fifth in the nation in the number of associate degrees awarded in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Humanities.

Florida Community College is in the top ten rankings for two additional categories. It ranked seventh in the nation for associate degrees in all disciplines and ninth in African-American students earning one-year certificates.

The College also ranked eleventh in the total number of African-American students earning associate degrees.

The annual ranking is based on Community College Week’s analysis of U.S. Department of Education data for 2006–2007.
