Florida Community College again outstanding in technology delivery
Florida Community College at Jacksonville has been recognized as an outstanding example of technology delivery among community colleges, ranking third in the nation (for colleges with more than 7,500 students) in a survey conducted by the Center for Digital Education and the American Association of Community Colleges. The survey is based on information compiled during the 2007-2008 academic year.
The survey ranks community colleges based on how they are using technology for their operations to serve students, faculty and staff. Colleges are categorized by enrollment (above 7,500; 3,000 to 7,500; and less than 3,000).
Miami Dade College and St. Petersburg College also ranked in the top 10 of the above-7,500 category, with MDC ranked at fourth and SPC tied for seventh with Macomb Community College in Michigan.
FCCJ routinely ranks among the top of community colleges in this annual survey. The rankings are posted annually and Florida Community College has an exceptional track record having been ranked first three times: in 2003, 2004, and 2007.
