Construction Carpentry Technician (6125)
As construction increases, so does the necessity for qualified,
educated carpenters. In this program, you will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary
for an entry-level carpentry position. You will learn to safely operate hand and power tools;
prepare work sites; and become skilled in the foundation formwork (wall, floor and roof
framing; exterior trim). This technical certificate will also increase job skills and
will complement the associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree.
Students completing this program may transfer their
coursework into the Carpentry Management A.A.S. degree program.
Estimated tuition is $1,520 (for Florida residents, as of 7/05). Contact the program manager for additional costs (textbooks, fees, materials, certifications).
