Application to the English language Institute

To be admitted to the ELI, applicants must complete the following:

1. Pay the non-refundable $80 application fee by cashier’s check or money order to Florida State College at Jacksonville and submit an ELI application by mail.
• Review the English Language Institute Admissions Checklist (PDF)
• Complete the International Student Membership Application and Certificate of Financial Responsibility (PDF)
2. If the applicant’s sponsor is a U.S. citizen or U.S. legal permanent resident, the USCIS Form I-134 (PDF) must be completed and submitted with the ELI application. [View Form I-134 Instructions (PDF).]
3. Reach the age of 17 before the first day of class at the ELI.
4. Provide copy of the title page in applicant’s passport as well as any dependent who might accompany applicant.
5. Send completed application and all documents listed above to:

   Florida State College at Jacksonville
   English Language Institute

   Jacksonville, FL 32202, USA

It is important to remember that the application for admission will not be reviewed until all required documents are received by the ELI. If the applicant is accepted for admission, the applicant will receive an I-20 and official acceptance letter. Students with questions should contact the ELI.
