Campus Child Development Centers Offer Pre-K Program at No Cost

Educational program for children who turn four years old by September 1st.

Chappell schools now offer the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program (VPK) at Child Development Centers on Downtown, North and South Campuses.

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten is a state-funded child development educational program that provides 540 hours of instructional class time at no cost to the parent, for children who turn four years old by September 1. There are no other eligibility requirements.

If interested, please contact the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) to obtain a VPK certificate for your child to attend at one of the College’s child care centers that have more than four children of four years old. The Early Learning Coalition is located at 6850 Belfort Oaks Place, Suite 102, Jacksonville, FL 32216. You may call the ELC at 904.208.2040.

Bring the certificate to one of the three campus childcare center locations to register your child. Chappell is giving first priority to College staff and students, but the program is available to the public. Spaces will fill up quickly — so take advantage of this rare opportunity soon.
