
Roben Faircloth
Roben is a native Floridian, and she was
born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. Roben graduated
from Edison Community College in Fort Myers with her Associate
in Arts degree and transferred to University of Central Florida
where she majored in organizational communication and minored
in political science.
After graduation, she moved to Tokyo,
Japan and taught English for three years. During her stay,
Roben explored Japan and traveled to Hong Kong, Korea and Thailand.
When she returned to the states, she live briefly in Atlanta
and worked at Coca-Cola Olympic City during the Atlanta Olympics. She
then moved back to Fort Myers and got married. After working
for the local library and then as a customer care manager for
a local builder, Roben moved with her husband to Jacksonville.
Roben has been with Florida Community College
since 2001. She
began as the program coordinator for the Florida Work Experience
Program and then in 2002 became a student recruiter.
She has been working with local high schools and select programs
for the last two years, and her focus will now shift to focusing
on the local high schools.
